Savary Island is one of the Gulf Islands of British Columbia, but has a strikingly unique characteristic: It is 8km long and only 1km wide. Some people say that the island is shaped like a highway, but everyone agrees that its shape gives it a stunningly beautiful appearance. Savary Island is also known to have the best beaches in the entire chain of Gulf Islands. Although the location is strikingly beautiful, the population of the community remains very small, so residents can peacefully enjoy the scenery.
