In a picturesque setting on the banks of the Peace River in the Rocky Mountain foothills of northeastern British Columbia, is the small town of Hudson’s Hope. Hudson’s Hope is the third oldest European settlement in the province, and is steeped in fur-trading history dating back to the late 1700s. The Hudson’s Hope area is also one of the richest sites of fossils and dinosaur footprints in the world. Summer recreational activities in the area include boating, hunting, fishing, hiking and camping. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are enjoyed during the winter months.
