Community Description:

Williams Lake is in BC’s Central Interior Region, otherwise known as the Cariboo Chilcotin Region and is famous for the annual Williams Lake Stampede. There is a population of approximately 35,000 in Williams Lake and surrounding areas with a total population of 62,000 for the Cariboo Regional District. A vast array of lakes, rivers and hiking and biking trails, makes Williams Lake and the surrounding area a great place for outdoor enthusiasts to camp, fish, hunt and play during the summer months while winter months bring the enjoyment of snowmobiling, skiing, snowboarding, and ice fishing for the winter months. Hospital Description:

Cariboo Memorial is under renovation with planned completion of 2026! The CMH redevelopment project includes an addition to the existing hospital as well as renovations to the existing facility. The addition will add 25 in-patient beds for a total of 53, a new emergency department and mental-health unit.

Currently, CMH is a Level 2 Community Hospital in Williams Lake with 28 inpatient beds. CMH hospital offers ER, OR, Med-Surg, and Obstetrical units. Lab and diagnostic imaging and outpatient Hemodialysis Unit are operated on-site.

Practice Description:

Our current OB-GYN team is looking for two full-time OB-GYNs to join our team at Cariboo Memorial Hospital. Come for a visit or a locum - we would be happy to welcome you!

Physician services in Williams Lake include Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Anesthesia, and a knowledgeable and experienced group of full-service Family Doctors. We have visiting specialists including Radiology, Ophthalmology and ENT.

There are opportunities to teach and engage with learners of varying disciplines.
