Role and Facility Information
This family practice clinic is located in North Vancouver’s Westview neighborhood, and easily accessible by both transit and car. Currently, there are 3 part-time doctors and 1 full-time physician, a part-time psychiatrist and a nurse working 1 to 2 days a week helping doctors manage the chronic disease patients as well as regular follow ups. Clinic will soon hire a psychologist and a dietician to help patient care and we are in the process of changing to a primary care hub offering different services to the patients. Over the past several years, clinic has helped in educating medical students, residents, and IMGs before starting their residency.
Clinic is in a plaza with variety of stores including 2 pharmacies and ample free parking. The clinic is in a building housing two dentists, a physiotherapy and a chiropractic clinic.
The clinic is looking for a physician to take over a part of a patient panel as the one of the physicians plans to cut back work and focus on some other educational projects. The physicians panel contains patients of all ages and ethnicities and also looks for a colleague who is open to new formats of primary care with focus on preventative medicine and an excellent work-life balance. We do have a long list of well managed chronic disease patients that has helped our billing over the past several years. The chosen candidate would take over a pre-determined number of patients and would have room to grow their practice by taking patients from the waiting list that has been made by staff, from VCH clinics and hospital discharges, as well as other unattached patients in the community.
Clinic has the capacity to add the Walk-in hybrid format in case the candidate is interested.
