Associate Physician in Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) and Liver Transplant Surgery

The Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) and liver transplant surgery team at Vancouver General Hospital is ready to welcome three Full time Associate Physicians to join our HPB program. The position will include assessment and management of both preoperative and post-operative HPB surgical patients as well as surgical assistance in HPB and other liver and pancreas related operations being performed by HPB surgeons at VGH, under the direct supervision of the attending HPB surgeon. The Associate Physician will also provide initial consultations (with oversight by the attending HPB surgeon) for HPB patients in the VGH emergency room and the inpatient population, participate in discharge planning and other activities working closely with the HPB team to increase capacity and service delivery.
