Location: We are located in the beautiful Lower Mission, just a short walk to Bluebird Beach
Park and South Beach Access. Our clinic shares a building with a range of healthcare services,
including a dentist, orthodontist, urologist, pharmacy, and Dynacare Medical Laboratory. This
convenient setup benefits our patients immensely.
Electronic Medical Record: Bluebird Medical Clinic uses IntraHealth Profile and relies on
electronic faxing and messaging to streamline communication and patient care. We are
committed to becoming a completely paperless clinic, and have made significant strides to
achieve this feat.
Clinic Website: Our user-friendly website offers patients the convenience of booking
appointments and submitting forms online, including GAD-7, PHQ-9, and the Adult ADHD
self-screening tool. Patients can stay informed with the latest clinic updates, office policies, and
pricing for services not covered by MSP. Our website also features a comprehensive collection
of patient resources and provides an alternative way to contact our Medical Office Assistants.
Medical Office Assistants: We are proud to have a dedicated team of MOAs who are friendly,
efficient and professional. They play a key role in ensuring our clinic runs smoothly.
Teamwork: Bluebird Medical Clinic has 2 full time physicians and 1 part time physician.
Physicians have developed a collaborative scheduling system to ensure continuous care for our
patients. When necessary, a physician will help clinic patients if their regular family physician is
not available. We have also agreed to cover each other’s vacation time when a locum physician
is not available, helping maintain consistent and reliable care for our patients.
Evidence Based Medicine: Our affiliation with UBC as a teaching clinic for Family Medicine
residents and Medical Students keeps us up-to-date with the fast evolving principles of modern
medicine. This commitment to education ensures our approach reflects the current standard
practices.
Patient Centred Approach: We pride ourselves in involving our patients in their care. By
fostering open communication and shared-decision making, we ensure our patients feel heard,
respected, and empowered in their healthcare.
Comprehensive Medical Care: We provide care for patients of all ages, from newborns to
elderly. Additionally, some of our physicians continue providing care for patients after they
transition to long-term care facilities.
Passing the Torch: Our academic affiliation with UBC creates an optimal space for training new
family physicians.
