Introduction
The Central Okanagan Maternity Clinic (COMC) invites expressions of interest from
physicians passionate about delivering high-quality, team-based perinatal care. Our
multidisciplinary team supports families across the Central Okanagan through a community
clinic and hospital on-call rotation, ensuring safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care.
Opportunity
COMC offers a collaborative environment that values professional excellence and work-life
balance. We are seeking physicians to join our group practice to:
• Provide prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care in a supportive, collegial setting.
• Work alongside experienced primary care providers, registered nurses, allied health
professionals, and administrative staff.
• Contribute to a model of care that prioritizes safety, compassion, and family-centered care.
Shift Details:
Minimum of 12 hours of on-site coverage. On-site after hours as medically required at the contract rate plus MOCAP.
• On-call: 08:00–18:00 and 18:00–08:00
• Clinic: 08:30–12:30 and 12:30–16:30
Contract
Recent enhancements to the group contract strengthen physician support and promote
sustainability of practice. Request a copy of the Contract Summary for details. Alternative Payment Program (APP) clinical service contract
$198.47/hr plus applicable after hours premiums and any hours for services provided during the MOCAP period at the hourly rate.
Education & Training
Physicians interested in expanding their skills can access Maternity Care for BC (MC4BC)
programs, designed to support ongoing professional development and excellence in
maternity care delivery.
