Role and Facility Information

This position provides the opportunity to live and work at the beautiful Shuswap Lake! The CHC is situated in Scotch Creek and provides Allied & Primary Health Care Services to the 7 lake communities of the North Shuswap. NSHC is a shared care model, equipped for two clinic physicians to serve a patient panel of approximately 2,500 patients with a healthy community wait list.

The clinic is well established and well staffed with MOA's, a LPN, a Mental Health Worker, Registered Massage Therapist, and Clinic Executive Director who manages the overall operations of the health center. Allied health includes on site bi-weekly lab services, foot care nurse and monthly public health nurse.

NSHC also works closely with the Community Paramedicine Program and Better at Homes Program to ensure patients receive much needed in home supports. The North Shuswap Seniors & Community Resource Centre which is attached to the clinic provides resources to the community, education and a support network for seniors in the community. A pharmacy is located next to the health center and the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops is approximately an hour away.
