Specialty Medical Laboratory Technologist

Island Health is hiring a part-time Laboratory Technologist to join their team at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.

In this position, the Core Laboratory Technologist performs established laboratory procedures, including hematology, chemistry and transfusion medicine.

What You'll Need to Apply

- Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist or successful completion of recognized competency assessment exam and registration in the relevant field(s) of practice in accordance with the Canadian Alliance of Medical Laboratory Professionals Regulators (CAMLPR) pathways.
- Graduation from a recognized diploma program in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Completion of core laboratory related courses within the last two years or one year of recent, related experience within the last six years in the core laboratory section of the laboratory (or equivalent).
