About the Position
As a Medial Laboratory Technologist with Island Health, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Your clinical skills, leadership, and compassion will make a direct impact on the wellbeing of the communities we serve.

As the Core Laboratory Technologist, you will perform established laboratory procedures, including hematology, chemistry and transfusion medicine.

What You Will Need to Apply
- Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.
- Graduation from a recognized diploma program in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Completion of core laboratory related courses or one year of recent, related experience within the last six years in the core laboratory section of the laboratory (or equivalent).

Effective March 1, 2026, successful completion of recognized competency assessment exam and registration in the relevant field(s) of practice in accordance with the Canadian Alliance of Medical Laboratory Professionals Regulators (CAMLPR) pathways.
