Lytton is situated at the meeting of the Thompson and Fraser Rivers, with one of the finest river canyon landscapes in the world. Despite a devastating wildfire in summer 2021, the residents of Lytton are eager to rebuild and return the community to its former vibrant state. The geography of the area makes Lytton a wonderful playground for unique and exciting outdoor adventures. Lytton also provides an exceptionally rewarding opportunity to practice medicine alongside residents who embrace the core essence of community, coming together again in the place they call home.
The clinic is open Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. This clinic is staffed by two physicians who see patients on a rotating basis, as well as a MOA and two RNs. The clinic currently offers physician visits, mental health and substance use services, home health and public health services. B.C. Ambulance is on site for any emergent transportation.
Rural Family Medicine opportunities now available to join our team in Lytton! Come experience a fulfilling professional life practicing community and primary care. Working together with the multi-disciplinary team, our clinic provides care to the residents of Lytton surrounding First Nations communities and sees approximately 1800-2000 visits/per year, mainly CTAS 4-5.
The ideal candidate will be independent and suited to a rural lifestyle with the desire to support re-establishing health services in this community.
