Role and Facility Information

Nakusp is seeking one Family Physician for general rural practice. The successful candidate(s) will work with a private clinic group and provide ED/LTC/inpatient services at Arrow Lake Hospital. There is strong collegial support between physicians that allows for work/life balance. Physicians share after-hour coverage through an on-call schedule, working approximately 1:4 schedule. The call demands are very reasonable and it is rare to be called in after 10 p.m. The office is modern with an excellent, friendly staff, including a Social Worker, a Registered Nurse and a Physiotherapist. Our EMR is MedAccess. Our community 24/7 ED has recently had a $2M upgrade and is supported by funding from an excellent auxiliary. Public health, Long Term Care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, mental health, laboratory, and diagnostic services are available in our hospital. We qualify for the Locums for Rural BC program.
