Role and Facility Information
Family Practice Anesthesia (FPA) opportunity in beautiful Nelson, BC on the shores of Kootenay Lake in the heart of the Selkirk Mountains.
Working in a group of 4 FPA’s you would work an average of 2 elective OR slates per week, on-call average 1:4 paid at the highest tier of Provincial on-call reimbursement. Currently fee-for-service, alternate payment contract being explored. We have the busiest Obstetric program in the region with 300+ deliveries per year.
On-site specialist services include: Ob-Gyn, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Radiology, CCFP-EM, GPO, GP-Ped. Visiting General Surgery, Orthopedics, and Urology.
The 2-3 other days of the week would be providing longitudinal family medicine in an established family practice clinic. Obstetrics and ER not required.
