You will have a rewarding ability to practice full-service rural medicine. There is an opportunity to work closely with the surrounding first nations (40% indigenous population) outreach programs in varies first nation communities.
The clinic hours are 9:00 to 5:00. The office and call schedule can vary weekly with ED on call rotation as well. You would have no clinic days scheduled after your on-call shifts in the ED. Within our medical community, there is local access to surgical services, anaesthesia, opioid alternative clinic, MAID, maternity and virtual support available 24/7.
Lillooet Hospital and Health Centre serves a population of approximately 4600 from the surrounding area; 5 trauma beds in the ED, 6 inpatients beds which can be maximized to 8-10 if needed! The ED is open 24/7 and our long-term care facility is attached to the hospital. The ED sees about 450 patients per month.

Lillooet is situated in the mountains making access to hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing to name a few making this a place with a variety to seasonal outdoor activities. There is a full service rec centre.
As a rural physician and part of the Rural and Remote Division of Family Practice you have access to a number of educational opportunities; including Rural CPD Program from UBC, Practice Support Program to name a few.
