Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Vascular Surgery Team at Abbotsford Regional Hospital (ARH) in Abbotsford, BC. As part of this rewarding role the NP works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team with a coordinated approach to ensure safe, quality, effective, and timely care for patients.

ARH’s Vascular Surgery is a dynamic team that focuses collaborative episodic and longitudinal care for a complex population. The team is interdisciplinary and very supportive, and you will be working with partner NPs. The hospital is a magnet for NP practice due to the dynamic population it serves and the amazing collaboration amongst the professionals that work there. This position requires someone who is team focused and wants to excel in their practice of acute medical/surgical patients. There are many opportunities to advance and flourish in this position.

Vascular patients have complex medical and surgical needs and require both episodic and longitudinal care. There is a high acuity component to this patient population, and we do focus on patient education and optimization of therapy through both interventions as well as medical therapies. The Nurse practitioner will be working with the team which comprises of Vascular Specialist, Registered nurses, PT, OT, Dietitian, Pharmacists, Social workers, and unit clerks.

Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre is a 280 bed, University of British Columbia affiliated hospital offering medical, surgical, obstetrics, inpatient pediatrics, renal, cardiology, tertiary palliative care, helipad, as well as 24/7 emergency services with nearly 80,000 visits annually.
