Role and Facility Information
The newly built David Kampe Tower at Penticton Regional Hospital is a beautiful 160-bed acute care facility that services the South Okanagan population of approximately 90,000 people and a wide variety of specialists are available 24/7 to support you.
At Penticton Regional Hospital patients without a primary care provider - or whose primary care provider does not have hospital privileges - are managed by our outstanding Community Inpatient Service (CIS) team.
Currently, the CIS team is comprised of 21 physicians working anywhere from a 0.25FTE to 1.0FTE.
Each CIS line is eight hours per day, seven days per week.
0.25 FTE = 6 weeks/year
0.50 FTE = 12 weeks/year
0.75 FTE = 18 weeks/year
1.00 FTE = 24 weeks/year
We currently have 6 lines paid at a rate of $180/hour. A line can be staffed by many combination of FTEs - so whether you want to work full time or part time, or as a locum - we'd love to hear from you! There's lots of opportunity to work in other areas in the community - and the team at the Division of Family Practice are available to help you build the practice that best suits your goals and schedule.
