Join our team of 2 UBC family medicine graduates in Powell River's newest family practice clinic. Powell River Medical Clinic is a modern clinic with the capacity of 3 full-time physicians or two full-time and two part-time. We are looking for a locum interested in becoming a permanent physician at the clinic. PRMC offers full family practice services.
Our wheelchair accessible clinic is located at the center of Powell River with ample free parking that can accommodate all our patients during busy clinic hours.
We use Medaccess EMR and we are the first clinic in Powell River that utilize online booking for our patients.
Optional hours are from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. We do cross coverage while away/on vacation. Inpatient hospital coverage is required. Emergency/obstetrics/long term care/surgical assist are optional.
Compensation type: Fee for Service or Longitudinal Family Payment Model.

It also boasts a stimulating blend of sport, recreation and outdoor adventure. Opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts include: kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, golfing, boating, hiking, biking, fishing and scuba diving.

The overhead can be changed to 70/30 clinic/hospital/nursing home and 100/0 ER/OB/anesthesia/surgical assist/weekend call after 6 months based on commitment. Details will be discussed during the interview.

Rural Retention Program (RRP)
• $13,668.48 annually- must practice at least 9 months and bill the minimum

Rural Continuing Medical Education (RCME)
• $0 during first 2 years in the community
• $2,200 (FPs) or $3,000 (SPs) annually in 3rd/4th year (issued quarterly)
• $4,400 (FPs) or $6,000 (SPs) annually in 5th+ years (issued quarterly)
Recruitment Incentive Fund (RIF)
• $10,000 for physicians filling open Physicians Supply Plan positions in qathet (prorated for <1.0 FTE)
Recruitment Contingency Fund (RCF)
• Assists with moving expenses based on area relocating from: $9,000 (within BC) $12,000 (within Canada) $15,000 (outside of Canada)
