This opportunity is to provide neonatal on-call coverage in beautiful Powell River. There is also an opportunity to coverage the physician’s regular family practice clinic.

We are seeking a general practitioner with particular interest and skillset in neonatal care. This urgent locum coverage has the opportunity to transition to a permanent position.

Powell River Hospital is developing a new and exciting full service perinatal program with the local support and collaboration of our obstetrician/gynecologist, family doctors, midwifery, nursing, and lactation consultation. Come be a part of this important, exciting work which is integral to optimizing and retaining rural perinatal services!

Although the expectation would be neonatal call, there is also the option to cover this work with general fee for service family practice/hospitalist work.

Compensation
Combination – service contract (neonatal call) and Fee for service for clinic work also.
This locum opportunity qualifies for up to $1,000 of travel and/or accommodation reimbursement.
