Specialty Physiotherapist

Role and Facility Information

This Physiotherapist is a key position within a multi-disciplinary team setting. You’ll mainly work within a 16-bed inpatient acute care setting involving assessments, rehab program planning, and discharge planning. You’ll provide direction to Rehabilitation Assistants, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery of care within the rehabilitation team. This Physiotherapist position provides assessments to one convalescent short stay bed, and as needed, for five respite beds at the long-term care facility Fisher Place. There is some outreach into the community to assist with discharges. You’ll carry a mixed client base ranging from acute respiratory to chronic disease, knee and hip replacements, non-telemetry to chronic, and medical. You will work closely with the Physicians and team, to deliver patient-centered care by assisting individual patients/clients and their families respond to changing health care needs.

Qualifications
• Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professions of British Columbia (CHCPBC) [formerly College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC)].
• Valid Driver’s license.
