Join the Rehabilitation team at Cowichan District Hospital as a casual Physiotherapist.
In this role, you will assess, treat, educate and manage patients/clients receiving physical therapy services.
Find your place among a close-knit team in the Cowichan Valley. Our Rehabilitation team offers a supportive and collaborative environment with a strong focus on clinical education and professional development. Team members practice across a variety of departments, including medical/surgical, ICU, emergency, and rehabilitation, with opportunities to shadow community therapists.
Currently under construction on the unceded traditional territory of the Quw’utsun People (Cowichan Tribes), the new Quw'utsun Valley Hospital is a testament to the deep partnerships and respectful collaboration that make the Cowichan Valley an exceptional place to live, work and learn.
Slated to open in 2027, the state-of-the-art facility will be three times the size of the current hospital, with capacity for 204 beds. It will be British Columbia's first fully electric hospital, built to LEED Gold standards for environmental sustainability. Designed with input from staff, patients, and Indigenous partners, the new hospital will offer an improved patient experience and promote provider wellness while maintaining a strong connection to the natural surroundings through thoughtful, healing design.
