Join our multidisciplinary team at Cowichan District Hospital (CDH) in Duncan, where you’ll provide occupational therapy services in a collaborative environment and play an important role in supporting patients throughout their care journey.
As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll work under general supervision as part of a multidisciplinary health care team, assessing, treating, educating and managing patients and clients receiving occupational therapy services.
Your clinical knowledge, communication skills, sound judgment and ability to work collaboratively with others will be important in providing effective, patient-centred care.
This is a Regular Full-Time opportunity, with a Monday to Friday schedule of 0830-1630. A valid BC Driver’s License and the ability to use a personal vehicle are required.
What You Will Need to Apply
-Graduation from a recognized university program in Occupational Therapy. Current licensure in a practicing category with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC as an Occupational Therapist.
-Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
-Knowledge of current Occupational Therapy standards, modalities and scope of practice; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
-Valid BC Driver's License.

About the Hospital
Currently under construction on the unceded traditional territory of the Quw’utsun People (Cowichan Tribes), the new Quw'utsun Valley Hospital is a testament to the deep partnerships and respectful collaboration that make the Cowichan Valley an exceptional place to live, work and learn.
Slated to open in 2027, the state-of-the-art facility will be three times the size of the current hospital, with capacity for 204 beds. It will be British Columbia's first fully electric hospital, built to LEED Gold standards for environmental sustainability. Designed with input from staff, patients, and Indigenous partners, the new hospital will offer an improved patient experience and promote provider wellness while maintaining a strong connection to the natural surroundings through thoughtful, healing design.
