Specialty Midwife

Role and Facility Information

Join a team where your skills are valued and your work makes a difference.

As a midwife, you have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of women and families during one of life's most meaningful journeys. In Invermere, you'll do it surrounded by an experienced team that believes collaboration, safety, and compassion are the foundation of exceptional care.

Our well-established practice is looking for a third registered midwife to join two dedicated colleagues who are passionate about supporting women, mentoring one another, and providing outstanding maternity care in the beautiful Columbia Valley.

Whether you're a new graduate looking for exceptional mentorship or an experienced midwife seeking a collaborative rural practice, we'd love to hear from you.

Why Invermere?
Imagine finishing clinic and being minutes away from a paddle on Lake Windermere, an evening hike, world-class skiing, hot springs, mountain biking, or simply enjoying a community where people are proud to live, work, and care for one another. Invermere offers an incredible quality of life that feels like a permanent vacation without sacrificing professional fulfillment.
The strength of this community comes from the people who call it home and the relationships that have shaped it over generations. Invermere is located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Ktunaxa Nation, including the ʔakisq̓nuk First Nation, and the Secwépemc (Shuswap) Peoples. We recognize and honour their stewardship of these lands and the cultural heritage that continues to enrich the Columbia Valley today.

Why You'll Love This Practice
Here, midwives are an integral part of the healthcare team. You'll work alongside family physicians, pediatricians, nurses, and hospital staff who value collaborative care and recognize the important role midwives play in supporting healthy pregnancies and births.
