Role and Facility Information

Well established clinic located in the beautiful North Okanagan community of Enderby is looking for a physician to join 2 existing GPs in a collaborative practice and a multi-disciplinary community health setting that includes laboratory, mental health, public health and community care. Physicians are responsible for 20 residents in the adjoining residential care facility. The clinic provides outreach to the new Splatsin Community Health Center.

The area supports a year-round active lifestyle with ready access to lakes, hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter.

The Enderby Community Health Center is one of ten Primary Health Care Centres available within Interior Health communities. Primary Health Care Centres have a more comprehensive and coordinated approach to healthcare delivery. This facility has a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment that includes Laboratory, Mental Health, Public Health and Community Care Services. Specialty services and programs include, but are not limited to: Adult Day Services, Caregiver Support, Case Management, Community Nursing Services, Community Nutrition Services, Diabetes Education, Electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG), Home Support, Postpartum Care, Prenatal Services, Rehabilitation, School Nursing Support, Social Work, and Speech-Language Pathology for Infants and Children. In emergency situations hospital transport is supported by a BC Ambulance Service (BCAS) basic life support ambulance team for transferring acutely ill and injured patients from Enderby to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital (VJH) in Vernon for tertiary care. VJH is 30 minutes travel time away.
