There is a population of approximately 35,000 in Williams Lake and surrounding areas with a total population of 62,000 for the Cariboo Regional District. A vast array of lakes, rivers and hiking and biking trails, makes Williams Lake and the surrounding area a great place for outdoor enthusiasts to camp, fish, hunt and play during the summer months while winter months bring the enjoyment of snowmobiling, skiing, snowboarding, and ice fishing for the winter months. Williams Lake has something for everyone.

Hospital Description:

Cariboo Memorial is under renovation with planned completion of 2026! The CMH redevelopment project includes an addition to the existing hospital as well as renovations to the existing facility. The addition will add 25 in-patient beds for a total of 53, a new emergency department, mental-health unit and cancer department. A new Maternity Clinic has been added – dedicated to providing centralized comprehensive care and support to expectant mother in the Cariboo region.

Currently, CMH is a Level 2 Community Hospital in Williams Lake with 28 inpatient beds. CMH hospital offers ER, OR, Med-Surg, Cardiology Unit and Obstetrical units. Lab and diagnostic imaging

and outpatient Hemodialysis Unit are operated on-site.

Deni House is adjacent to CMH, embodies a resident centered philosophy designed to help people function at their highest level and provide the best quality of life. Deni House has 13 private and 5 3-bed rooms. Nine of the beds are designated as short stay including 2 palliative beds, and ALCP’s (2beds).

This is a private clinic in a recently renovated house in downtown Williams Lake and is within walking distance to the hospital. Each physician has two private exam rooms and a shared procedure room. Clinic hours are 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Working hours are flexible within these times. Billing is done in–house. No evening or weekend hours required at the clinic.

This is a great opportunity to take over a full-time, established, varied practice in a private clinic. This three-physician clinic has very friendly and supportive physician colleagues, excellent staff and very low overhead. Emergency Department shifts are available if interested. Obstetrics is desired but not essential. Physicians are responsible for their own inpatient coverage at Cariboo Memorial Hospital on weekdays, and one-in-four weekend coverage. Office overhead is approximately 15 – 20 per cent of gross earnings.
